My name is Simran Thapa Chhetri, a permanent resident of Dumkibas Bazar, Binayi Tribeni 1, Nawalparasi (East), Nepal. As the daughter of Hira Bahadur Thapa Chhetri and Sushma Thapa Chhetri, I have always been inspired by the values of dedication and service to the community that my parents instilled in me. This inspiration, coupled with my profound interest in understanding human behavior and mental health from a young age, has driven me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Hons) at Coventry University in the UK.
My academic journey began at a young age with a strong inclination towards the sciences. I excelled in my Secondary Education Examination (SEE) in 2021, achieving a GPA of 3.85. This foundation led me to study science for my School Leaving Certificate (SLC), where I earned a CGPA of 2.64 in 2023 with a major in Biology. My fascination with human behavior and mental health has consistently grown, fueling my ambition to contribute meaningfully to the field of psychology.

My career aspirations are deeply rooted in my desire to make a significant impact on mental health back in Nepal. After completing my degree, I plan to return to Nepal and work towards improving mental health care accessibility and quality in underserved regions. My goal is to collaborate with local health authorities and international organizations to implement effective mental health policies and programs that address prevalent issues in Nepal, such as mental health awareness, treatment accessibility, and psychological support.
