Statement of Purpose
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Sudip Dhakal, a project management enthusiast by profession, and a go-getter, ambitious, proactive, and a self-starter, by nature. With this statement of purpose, I articulate my aspirations behind my decision to immerse in the Canadian Graduate Certificate in Project Management at Loyalist College, for the 2025 September intake.
Born on 04 December 2004 into the warm embrace of my Parents Mr. Basu Dev Dhakal and Mrs. Deep Kumari Dhakal, I grew up in Sindhupalchok, a district known for hosting both national and international donors. I was exposed to the transformative impact of collaborative initiatives and projects in bringing about positive change from my childhood.
I’ve organized events and projects since my school days but execution doesn’t always mean expertise. I was a high achiever in school. I completed my 10th in 2015 with a score of 86.13 percent. I was a member of the Miniland Scout Troop which introduced me to the avenues of recreational activities and social work including scout rallies, cooking competitions, service camps during festivities, and so on. The same year I joined high school for 11th and 12th (2017: 58.40%). During these days, I was motivated toward social work and community activities. Henceforth, I pursued a Bachelor of Arts (2020: 64.64%) with a specialization in Social Work and Journalism from Newton International College, Kathmandu.
Fast forward to the Job Market, it all started as a Program Coordinator in Pahilo Paila Nepal on 19th December 2020. My responsibilities varied from supporting project planning and implementation, conducting research, engaging in advocacy efforts, and assisting with fundraising activities. I also participated in event planning, handling administrative tasks, and contributing to the organization’s communication strategy through content creation and social media management.
Inspired by my attention to details and dedication I was offered a position of Assistant Project Manager at Pahilo Paila Nepal on 15th May 2023. As an Assistant Manager I contribute to the development of project plans, monitor progress, and ensure that tasks are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, I used to assist in stakeholder communication, preparing project documentation, and coordinating project meetings, risk management, issue resolution, and quality assurance, ensuring that projects meet or exceed expectations. This position served as a valuable stepping stone for professionals aspiring to take on more significant project management responsibilities.
During this period, I came to the realization that my skill set lacks a global perspective, emphasizing the need for me to enhance and broaden my skills, an awareness of the evolving demands of my role and the dynamic field of project management. I decided to further my study in Project Management.
While exploration the project management opportunities in Nepal, I observed that the discipline is still in its infant stages, with only some organizations like the Nepal Administrative Staff College and IT Training Nepal providing some basic project management trainings.
Considering my career aspirations, I recognized the limitations of pursuing a post graduate degree in Nepal. Through my two decades of experience in Nepalese education, I’ve recognized a significant disparity between the theoretical emphasis in colleges and the practical skills required by the dynamic global landscape.Top of Form I also identified a scarcity of specific career pathways in Nepal, further motivating my decision to seek an international education.
With the support of my family, I began my process of studying abroad. Starting with PTE, an English Proficiency Test, where I scored an average of 63 with 66, 57, 72, and 63 in Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing respectively.
While exploring programs, I found a suitable course in Canada that aligns with my career goals.Top of Form The education system, state-of-the-art facilities, career opportunities, and international ecosystem, all led me to Canada.
Firstly, qualification from a Canadian institution carries global recognition and accreditation. This is crucial for individuals aspiring to establish an international career in project management. Canada, consistently tops the list of countries for abroad study. The emphasis on quality education and research ensures that students are equipped with the latest industry knowledge and skills, preparing them to excel in the dynamic field. Canada’s multicultural environment is another significant advantage. Studying in a diverse and inclusive setting not only enriches the overall educational experience but also hones the ability to work effectively in multicultural teams.
Furthermore, Canadian institutions often provide ample networking opportunities for students, connecting them with industry professionals through events, seminars, and guest lectures. Building a robust professional network during one’s academic journey can significantly contribute to career growth and success.
Beyond academic and professional considerations, the high quality of life in Canada adds to the overall appeal. Consistently ranking high in global quality of life indices, Canada offers a safe and welcoming environment for students pursuing their education and professionals building their careers. Additionally, believing that Canadian law protects the rights of international students as Canadian citizens with no discrimination based on origin, gender, religion, or sexual orientation, I decided on this journey to study abroad.
Why Loyalist College and its Project Management?
I chose the Loyalist College because of the program’s curriculum which I found aligned with what I was expecting and needed like project leadership, sustainability and corporate social, cost management and human factors, risk management, and quality project management. The college has its graduates working in international companies such as Amazon, I am confident that the program can assist me in acquiring skills to excel as an effective project manager.
What attracts me to this college is the serene environment and its initiative to achieve sustainable development. One of their unique initiations is the Student Food Cupboard where students can get free perishable food, school and hygiene items. In addition, they also do a waste audit each year to determine the recycling and reduction of items sent to landfills. As for the graduates getting a job, 90 percent of graduates were employed within six months in 2016-17 which shows the industry skill the college is providing.
Loyalist College often establishes strong connections with industries relevant to project management. These connections can lead to networking opportunities, guest lectures, and potential collaborations with professionals, enhancing students’ exposure to the industry. This College is also known for its supportive campus environment. From academic advising to career services, students have access to various support systems that contribute to their overall well-being and success.
As I embark on my post-graduate studies, I am confident in my ability to rise to the challenges and expectations of the program. I believe that my solid foundation coupled with my passion for learning and determination to excel, will serve me well in my academic endeavors at Loyalist College.
Nepal, being a developing country, has billion of incoming projects which require a skilled project manager (https://myrepublica.nagariknetwork.com/news/ingos-mobilizing-a-total-of-rs-93-61-billion-for-their-projects/ ). However, a lack of planning and understanding of the topic has led many projects to fail without achieving their objective. It shows the absence of skills in project managers. Being a developing nation, many NGOs and INGOs are initiating projects in Nepal. However, the available workforce can’t perform the best leading to time and cost overruns. Hence, I would like to tap into this market of Nepal and make a real impact with my skills gained from international exposure to tools and methods of project management.
To afford an international degree and education, with my savings from my salary, my parents will be assisting me in this academic journey by financially sponsoring my stay and study in Canada. The annual income of my family is stable and I belong to a financially sound parents where my parents make NRs. 41,78,500 (CAD 42,062) per year collectively from business, salary, land lease and pension. Also, my parents have made a saving of NRs. 55,50,000 (CAD 55,533) in the A class financial institution of Nepal, Prabhu Bank Limited. An amount of CAD 17,564 as tuition amount has already been paid to the college. Additionally, my parents are owner to a property worth NRs. 43,015,409 (CAD 424,759) that can be utilised in case of financial urgency.
Upon the successful completion of Post Graduate Certificate, I am returning to Nepal. Armed with the enhanced skills and knowledge acquired during the program, I envision applying this newfound global expertise to contribute significantly to the development and success of projects in Nepal.
In the short term, I aim to secure a position as a Project Manager, in Pahilo Paila Nepal as they have made an assurance to join me back after my return. This will allow me to transition from a student to a professional, applying the theoretical insights and practical expertise gained from my education to real-world projects in the environment which was once comfortable. I want to experience the difference in the way I execute projects now and then. This will develop a sense of confidence and will enhance my productivity. To add, I will be looking for International Project Management Certification for professional in Nepal like PMAN that will add my competitive value in the field. This will also allow me to become a member of Project Management Association Nepal.
Following this, I aspire to contribute effectively to the successful execution of large-scale community projects, possibly within NGO’s and INGO’s like Care Nepal, Oxfam in Nepal, Save the Children Nepal, ActionAid Nepal, CARE International in Nepal, Plan International Nepal, Mercy Corps Nepal etc. By gaining valuable on-the-job experience, I will enhance my proficiency in project management, establish a strong foundation, and deepen my understanding of the Nepalese Community.
Looking further ahead, my long-term vision is to become a Project Management Consultant and establish Nepal’s first Project Management Consultancy specializing in project management related consultation. I plan to become the first entrepreneur in this sector, leveraging my experience and expertise to lead and manage projects independently. This will not only contribute to the development of my career but also to the local community. After all life for me is about finding a joy and spreading it broadly.
I believe that my education at Loyalist College will equip me with the skills and insights needed to navigate the complexities of project execution and contribute meaningfully to the development of my home country.
To achieve all these, my return is must. With my return after achieving my education, I want to help Nepal by making sure projects succeed. Additionally, I have an advantage of growing up in Nepal. I know the people, culture, and challenges that I can turn to opportunities taking ideas and concepts of project management that work for Nepal.
Moreover, seeing back to the age of my parents and the inheritance that I must be responsible for, needs me to be in Nepal. As I see the financial benefits in Nepal, I have plans to stay in Canada till I complete my degree.
Home and country ties can never let me settle in a world alien to me. My aim is not only to be a change-maker but also to witness the change that I made. One of the responsibilities of a change-maker is to teach others how to be a change and ignite that fire that only grows. Hence, I plan to build a group and train them with my skills from the global arena to lead projects successfully.
Deeply connected to the community of my people and family, coming back for them (my wife, parents, and friends) is keeping a promise. It’s about showing that their support was worth it and that we all share a vision of making Nepal better.
Prior to applying to Canada, I had applied to Australia which was refused. However, that didn’t stop me from following my goal but turned into a lesson. Rejection doesn’t mean failure. I took it as a moment of self-reflection “what excited me and assess my path to academic achievement.” Although it discouraged me, I knew this wasn’t it. In all this process, my parents stood by me to give it a go once more and follow my dreams. With their support, I found a new strength to begin my application process to Loyalist College in Canada.
In Conclusion, I am aware that my primary objective for studying in Canada is to empower my career and personal growth, with a determination to return home to Nepal and actively participate in the country’s advancement. I assure you that I will follow the rules provided by Canadian Immigrants and Loyalist College.
I hope my academic credentials and qualifications make me a genuine applicant and qualify me for a student visa for the course I have chosen and grant me an opportunity to pursue my degree in Canada.

Subject: Statement of Purpose for Study Permit
As a career-oriented individual, I believe in hard-work. That’s why, every project I’ve managed so far has achieved its goal. I am Jwala XXXX, always looking to elevate my skills and knowledge to drive opportunities. Steered by my passion in improving productivity, I am inclined to Project Management. Henceforth, I am putting forward this Statement of Purpose.
Born on 25th December 1999, at Champadevi Municipality- 10, Okhaldhunga Nepal. I graduated with a School Leaving Certificate (SLC – 83/00%) in 2014 from Bijeshwori Gyan Mandir Sainik Mahavidyalaya. After completing my junior school level, I joined Morgan International College (Science) for my high school studies. In 2016, I graduated from high school with 59.50 %. Then on, I got my Bachelor Degree on Information Technology (BIT – 3.34 CGPA) from IIMS College (December 2020).
To gain hands-on experience, I started working with Sprout Technology Service Pvt. Ltd., a locally operating company of CloudFactory in Nepal, from May 24, 2019 to till date as a Data Specialist and Project Co-Ordinator. I started as a part-time worker during the Pandemic. When everything and everyone went online, so did my office and the college. Later on, I began working as a full-time employee after graduation. This also means my world revolved around data, database and analysis. Fortunately, I’ve also got the opportunity to work for community service projects. This has added value to my leadership skills and a solid foundation in analytical thinking.
Throughout these years, I’ve worked on projects that has not only inspired me but also gave me a self-reflection on my capabilities. This made me realize my potential that if given a greater exposure and opportunities to learn, I can develop my skills, that I could do much more to create opportunities for me and the community I live in. Nepal, being a developing nation, has potential that’s not been explored yet, which means I can create such possibilities that can expand my career and add value to Nepal’s emerging Data industry.
I have been exploring courses in Nepal but there were only limited options and opportunities in Project Management. Although Project management is at its early stage in Nepal, I would like to be the one who can take benefit of it. Here, in Nepal, only KUSOM has that option as but in specialization. Besides, there are only few organizations that provides training on project management like Nepal Administrative Staff College, IT Training Nepal. However, I am looking for more of an advanced option that incorporates different aspects projects as a core than just a training or my final year specialization. Plus, the curriculum here is not wholesome, it has not included modern concepts and methods which results in a significant variation in the competency of education provided by Nepalese institutions and those in CANADA. It is cost- effective if I choose Nepal but it’s important to evaluate the return on investment in terms of the quality, networking opportunities, and long-term career prospects.
After research and numerous educational seminars, I concluded that Canada best-fits my need to pursue my further education. The country offers globally recognized education, practical
oriented teaching methodology, reasonable fee structure, lower living costs (when compared to my other options – USA and the UK), safety, multicultural society, and hospitable environment. Canadian Universities and Colleges has been offering challenging curriculum and a range of competitive course from preparatory level to graduate certificate program comparing to other countries like USA, UK, Australia, Germany, Denmark and others. It has been one of the most preferred options for many international students.
Moreover, Canadians are known for their hospitable and friendly nature. Hopefully I won’t be lonely, but of course, I won’t feel at home. In addition, being ranked among the top ten countries on the United Nations Quality Index, which makes it a safest, stable, and prosperous country to live and study in. Not just UN, the 2022 US News Reports, Canada is the 3rd best country for education in the world and has consistently featured among the top countries since 2016. On top of that, the Post-Graduation Work Permit which will help students and career- enthusiast like me to connect with the practical ground. What more REASONS do I need to decide where I want to study.
As for the University, I found Algoma University has the program that aligns with my interest along with great course structure and affordable tuition fees with career-oriented modern teaching approach to the students. I wish to leverage my knowledge of the industry with a stronger desire to pursue further studies knowing about the significance of international exposure and education, through Graduate Certificate in Project Management at Algoma University, 24 Queen Street, Brampton, Canada.
Algoma is a premier institution granting flexible pathways to support individual career goals. In the past 58 years, the University has undergone a remarkable transformation, evolving from a local community college to a globally recognized institution. Thus, I want to expand my knowledge and acquire skills in this field to gain recognition and credibility by taking advantage resources available at Algoma University. The University’s two-year program in Project Management includes some of the most-expected options – project planning, risk management, project execution, stakeholder communication, quality control and project leadership.
As Jack Welch said “Good project managers create a vision, articulate the vision, passionately own the vision, and relentlessly drive it to completion.”
So, I plan to have a successful career as a Project Manager. I am fascinated by turning ideas into reality, managing complexity and leading cross-functional teams towards common goals. The scope of project management is broad that includes a wide range of sectors. It includes coordinating projects of diverse complexity, from information technology to building, healthcare to marketing, and beyond. I see myself formulating project objectives, developing comprehensive plans, assigning resources and guiding diverse teams to optimize the project outcome. and keep projects on schedule. On completion of this course, I can learn to manage risks, come out with strong leadership, and plan strategies to keep projects on track.
One of the main benefits of studying in Canada is grasping a remarkable career option and a positive societal reputation. I would have more career alternatives with additional education. For me being successful doesn’t only mean having materialistic things, but it is more about fulfillment I attain through my work. Therefore, the intended program will help me achieve all of my goals. When a foreign certification is valued in Nepalese market than a local degree, then why not I choose the foreign degree, Algoma University, and CANADA.
I know what I want to do after my study in CANADA. The scope of Project management in Nepal is enormous considering the country’s rapid development and modernization. For few years, I would like to work as a project manager in the same company, Cloudfactory where I am working now. Well, they agreed to have me as I’ll have a foreign degree and more advance skill set.
But I want to work for Leapfrog and/or E-sewa, they are well-known companies in Nepal and my work with highly appreciated in these companies. Furthermore, after the degree, I’ll have more options, I can work in any businesses, be it tourism, education, healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing and trade, finance, NGOs, non-profits, and government agencies. The need for qualified project managers is considerably increasing in Nepal. Likewise, the United Nations General Assembly has also recently approved a proposal to upgrade Nepal’s status to that of a developing country, making it imperative that the government has qualified and competent young individuals to drive its growth.
As for my long-term plan, I want to be a part of projects that associate with the big developmental projects, shaping the present and future of businesses and organization of Nepal. Beside this, I have plans for a startup in the field of my choice that fulfills the ever-growing challenges of project management in Nepal.
I wish to manifest all my dreams and ambitions when I come back home. The application for the abroad study is backed by my strong determination to do something at home where my parents and my husband can be proud of me. When I return home country with a globally recognized degree and world-class skills, I uplift myself socially and economically.
I grew up being loved and cared by my family, and now my husband. I have my in-laws, friends and relatives who supported me throughout my entire life. They encouraged me to pursue higher education, follow my career ambitions. My return back home to NEPAL is not solely drive my responsibilities for caring and supporting my family in their later years. I have a strong bonding and attachment with my husband and would love to settle in Nepal for future where my children (in future) get the love from their grandfather and grandmother and be surrounded our culture and festivals. Family is essential to me and I feel a strong responsibility towards my parents who have always been there for me.
My choice to pursue this academic endeavor was made with the approval of my parents, who are also my financial sponsors. I come from an economically stable family. We have a good amount of property which has amounts to CAD 387,065.25/. As for the total annual income of my family including my Father (Mr. Raj Bahadur Bista), Mother (Mrs. Khil Kumari Bista), and Sister (Mrs. Bimala Bista) is CAD 42,124.43/. They have savings worth around 53,768 CAD$, as in the bank balance certificate. The cost of studying in Canada requires a great financial investment. However, I believe that finance will never be a hindrance for my further studies. I can assure you that my family’s financial standing is sufficient to cover my expenses during my study period in Canada.
Before this application, I had applied for Australia twice for student visa which was refused on 12th July 2022 and 25th April 2023. Even though it was disappointing at the time, this setback turned out to be a crucial moment of growth for me. I saw rejection as a chance for reflection and opportunities for improvement rather than letting it discourage me. I motivated myself to reevaluate my academic route and explore alternative options to pursue my goals. With newfound vigor and a dedication to developing my intellectual and personal qualities, I started the application process once more for Project Management at Algoma University in Canada.
The rejections have strengthened my WILL while also emphasizing the need for careful research and cautious planning when choosing the right educational institution and program. Therefore, I am genuinely excited to be a part of Algoma University and contributing to its academic community and pursuing my goals in the academic environment of Canada.
Lastly, I am aware that applying for a study permit means I must follow the rules provided by Canadian Immigration and Algoma University. I am hoping that my academic and other credentials will qualify me for a student visa. Having the opportunity to pursue this course and degree in Canada is of great significance to me, and I would sincerely work with dedication, and give my best to make substantial contribution in my field. I hope you will consider me as a genuine applicant for the course I have chosen and grant me the opportunity to pursue my ambitions.
I look forward to getting a positive response from your side. Thank you,
Jwala XXXX

Life is a never-ending journey where I’m dedicated to finding happiness, not just for myself, but for those around me as well. This infectious zeal for life guides me as I move forward on my path, be it for the potential contributions to the academic or professional community I seek to be a part of.
I’m Sabina XXX, from Sindhupalchok, Nepal and I’m truly thankful for the chance to share my Statement of Purpose with you. This letter tells my academic journey and my passion for personal growth and learning. I’m excited to seek a study permit and join the Project Management program at Fleming College, Toronto, in May 2024.
Life is full of unforeseen challenges and my childhood memories of resilience and finding joy in adversity has equipped me with the mindset to tackle obstacles with a positive approach, driving creative problem-solving and maintaining the momentum. Having said that, I clearly remember how I transformed from a hand shaking 2 minutes speech to a speech full of applaud.
I began my academic journey in Tripurasundari Rural Municipality-5, Sindhupalchok, Nepal, where I completing the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) from Kathmandu Vidya Mandir in 2013 with 79% score. Building on this foundation, I continued to follow my passion for science by enrolling at Brooklyn International College for high school education. Despite facing challenges and perhaps lower grades (59%), my infectious enthusiasm for learning continued to drive me forward. Subsequently, I pursued higher education at Padmakanya Multiple Campus, with 3.13 GPA in 2021. This academic achievement is a reflection of my perseverance and commitment to personal growth.
During my academic journey, I actively participated in various volunteering and training programs, allowing me to gain valuable experience and insights. However, it was during my role as a Program Coordinator at Voice of Children in December 2021 that my fascination for Project Management truly came to life.
In this capacity, I found myself deeply involved in numerous community service initiatives. My responsibilities extended to planning, coordinating, and overseeing a wide spectrum of projects designed to enhance the well-being of underprivileged children in Nepal. This hands-on experience allowed me to take the lead in managing these projects, effectively applying Project Management principles to ensure their success.
Through this experience, I not only realized the importance of structured project coordination but also witnessed the tangible impact that effective management can have on the lives of those in need. This transformative experience further solidified my passion for Project Management and reinforced my commitment to making a positive difference through organized and purposeful initiatives.
I recognize that self-discovery of happiness is an ongoing journey, and every choice I make along this path, particularly at my current age (born on 19th Oct, 1990), will significantly influence the development of my identity. With this in mind I delved into the scope of Project Management. My research further motivated me to pursue this course.
I found that across the globe, Project Management is a highly sought-after skillset, with diverse industries relying on these professionals to ensure the successful execution of projects. According to the Project Management Institute (PMI), there is a projected need for 87.7 million project management roles worldwide by 2027. Project Management offers a clear career path, with opportunities for advancement. The PMI reports that 80% of high-performing organizations value Project Management, contributing to career growth and development.
In the context of Nepal, I witness a growing importance of Project Management. The country is undergoing significant development, with an increasing number of infrastructure projects, educational reforms, and healthcare improvements. As Nepal continues to grow, the demand for skilled Project Managers rises in tandem. A Kantipur report estimates that million is wasted due to poor Project Management practices. It is evident that the nation’s initiatives and the need for structured project execution contribute to the demand for Project professionals.
Driven by these considerations, I resolved to embark on a transformative journey by pursuing a Post-Graduate Certificate Degree in Project Management at the prestigious Fleming College in Toronto, Canada.
I have been exploring courses in Nepal but there were only limited options and opportunities
in Project Management. I found no colleges and Universities in Nepal offering a full-fledged course in Project Management. Currently, the course is only offered by KUSOM as an optional area of specialization, and some organizations provide training in project management. However, my search was for a more comprehensive management course that integrates project management as a core element. It was clear to me that Project management is in its early stages of development within Nepal. The prospect of temporarily leaving my homeland to hone my skills and capabilities became appealing, and I decided to study abroad.
Just a google search away and I found Canada topping the list of almost every educational blog, influencer, and study abroad seminar.
Canada, a global leader in education, with over 800,000 studying there and 57,000 international students in co-op programs in 2019, highlighting its commitment to high-quality education. Canada is my confident choice for project management studies. The cultural diversity and warm hospitality of Canada, combined with its commitment to safety and security, make it an enticing destination for international students. Canada’s reputation as the third-best country for education globally, as per the 2022 US News Reports, adds to its allure. The Post-Graduation Work Permit program, which facilitates practical experiences for students, has the potential to be a life-altering decision for my future and career.
My research led me to Fleming College in Toronto, a shining beacon of academic excellence.
Fleming College presents an exceptional choice for those aspiring to study Project Management, grounded in its well-earned reputation and a program that is meticulously designed to foster success. Recognized by relevant authorities, Fleming College ensures that your Project Management degree holds substantial value, both in the eyes of employers and academic institutions globally. I have been offered a scholarship of CAD 2,000.
Moreover, the college’s Project Management program is renowned for its comprehensiveness, covering a wide spectrum of critical subjects within the field including project planning, risk management, quality control, and more, Fleming College ensures that students receive a well-rounded and in-depth education in Project Management. The professors and instructors at Fleming College are seasoned professionals whose guidance and mentorship can provide relevant knowledge that extends beyond textbooks.
Fleming College is not just history, the college possesses a global reach. The college has also been in partnership with local government, advisory council, and other educational and business institutions, thus ensuring their programs remain relevant and ensure career opportunities. The connections made at Fleming College can open doors to future job opportunities and collaborations.
My decision to embark on this academic journey has been wholeheartedly embraced by my parents, and feel fortunate to hail from a financially stable background, with a substantial property portfolio valued at CAD 3,12,117.97 (Property Valuation Report). Moreover, our family’s collective annual income, stemming from multiple sources, stands at a robust CAD 40,749.79 (Income Verification). In terms of savings, we have prudently set aside CAD 58,869.62 in the esteemed Prabhu Bank corroborated by the bank balance certificates.
It’s no secret that pursuing education in Canada requires a significant financial commitment. However, I am firmly of the belief that financial considerations will not impede my journey of higher education.
I aspire to embark on the entrepreneurial journey in the field of project management, I must first build a strong foundation of expertise and credibility, the reason why I am ready to leave my home land for the Diploma in Project Management. I should continue to gain practical experience, potentially by working in the field or on projects that align with her entrepreneurial aspirations. Earning industry-recognized certifications like the Project Management Professional (PMP) can further enhance her credibility, demonstrating her commitment to the field.
My short-term goal would be to work for my PSW in Toronto, a home to a diverse range of industries, each of which has a demand for skilled Project Managers. This period will act as a bridge between my Fleming’s academic journey and the professional career that I seek to become in Nepal providing an opportunity to apply and expand my academic knowledge in a real-world work environment.
Identifying niche opportunities within the Nepalese market is the next critical step. I plan to contribute effectively to the successful execution of medium and large-scale national and international projects, possibly within organizations like Care International, Tata Projects Ltd, British Council, or SOS Nepal. By gaining valuable on-the-job experience, I will enhance my proficiency in project management, establish a strong foundation, and deepen my understanding of the Nepalese industry. These insights will serve as the basis for my entrepreneurial venture.
Building a robust professional network is another crucial component of entrepreneurship. I can connect with industry professionals, potential clients, and fellow entrepreneurs. My study abroad experience in Fleming College would help a lot for the global network that can provide valuable opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and a deeper understanding of the local and international business environment.
Hence, the Fleming College experience will offer me a foundation for my dream and a holistic preparation for entrepreneurship in Project Management. It provides me with the education, skills, network, mindset, and personal growth necessary to establish and expand the entrepreneurial venture in Nepal. My time at the college is a valuable investment in my future as a successful business owner in the field of Project Management.
Success, to me, transcends the materialistic realm; it embodies the emotional satisfaction derived from self-improvement and self-discipline. My definition of success is intertwined with my passion for contributing to my homeland, Nepal. My purpose is not limited to personal achievement but extends to enriching the growth and development of my beloved nation.
Furthermore, I aspire to contribute to a multitude of sectors, ranging from tourism, education, healthcare, agriculture, and manufacturing to trade, finance, non-governmental organizations, non-profits, and government agencies.
My allegiance to my homeland remains my top priority; however, I have sound and well-founded reasons for seeking education abroad rather than in my home country.
Since family occupies a central place in my life, I am resolutely dedicated to the notion of returning to Nepal, where I can extend emotional and, when circumstances demand, financial assistance to those who depend on me.
This homecoming will not only facilitate my ability to make a substantial and meaningful impact on the local community and economy but also provide the opportunity to manage and enhance the substantial family assets, through the requisite legal channels and for its legal division between my brother and me.
I actively participated on different community and cultural programs in Nepal. Remaining in Nepal allows me to actively engage in and contribute to the preservation of our cultural legacy, ensuring its preservation for generations to come.
While I acknowledge the potential for financial gain and recognition in my homeland, I hold no intention of prolonging my stay in Canada after the completion of my degree. My objective in pursuing my education in Canada is to enrich my personal and intellectual development, firmly committed to the cause of returning to Nepal and actively contributing to its progress.
I am fully committed to adhering to all the rules and regulations governing my study permit and stay conditions in Canada. Rest assured, I am resolute in my determination to return to my native nation to fulfill my familial and patriotic responsibilities.
I am optimistic that my academic achievements and qualifications meet the criteria for a student visa. The opportunity to undertake this course and attain my degree in Canada holds immense significance for me.
With Regards

My journey of life is a story worth telling, one that weaves together the childhood legacy, career evolution, and a never-ending educational aspiration. It is clear that I am on a personal journey of self-discovery, and my quest to challenge myself to achieve the unachievable is an important part of my life. The given name, Amardeep XXX, and residence in Maj Bishanpur, Mahottari District, Nepal, may provide a glimpse into my origins, but I am looking to uncover more about myself.
While I acknowledge that self-discovery is a lifelong process, I am also aware that each step I take on this path at this age (DOB: 19th Oct, 1990) will either shape my identity and bring me close or I would get lost on the vanity. In the meanwhile, I am glad to share that I have been placed with an offer to study Project Management at Algoma University Canada for the January intake of 2024.
Right from the initial schooling days, I displayed an extraordinary zeal for learning, always eager to explore and expand my horizons. In 2006, I graduated my schooling with 73.88 percentage securing the top 5 highest scoring student on that year. Following this, in 2008, I accomplished the next phase of my educational odyssey, securing 71% in higher education.
I achieved impressive CGPA in bachelors and master’s degrees too. I embarked upon a Bachelor’s odyssey in Management i.e., Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), culminating in 2012, bearing a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.68%. This chapter of my life equipped me with a substantial arsenal of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, constituting the bedrock upon which I seek to build my future endeavors. In the annals of 2012, following the successful completion of my Bachelor’s, and I continued Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the honored Apex College, completing 2017, securing a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.67%.
After completing my Bachelor’s degree, with a clear motive in mind to gain practical knowledge and apply the educational wisdom, I immediately joined a private organization, I always knew that real-world exposure is the key to unlocking my full potential.
In 2014, a new chapter began where I took the path of a banker, joining Nepal Bank Limited. For eight years, I dedicated myself to the financial world, demonstrating my relentless work ethic and a curiosity to learn and explore new ideas. While the banking sector was my home, my heart began to yearn for something more, something that resonated deeply with my inner aspirations.
My turning point came when I started delving into the intricacies of construction-related business fields during his tenure in the banking sector. I found myself significantly drawn to the world of project and construction. The thought of shaping tangible structures and executing complex projects ignited a newfound passion within me, I felt born again, as if a dormant dream had sprung to life.
In 2022, I decided to take a bold step forward, bidding farewell to the banking career and venturing into the world of construction and project management. I joined Imperial International Construction in Janakpur, Dhanusha, Nepal, with a heart full of ambition and a head full of dreams.
The construction field became my canvas, and I was determined to paint a masterpiece with every project I undertook.
As I immersed myself in the construction field and project works, I soon realized that to make a substantial impact, I needed to bolster the knowledge in the field of Project Management. Nepal, as a developing nation, is teeming with opportunities in the construction industry. The demand for reliable and efficient project management knowledge is soaring. To tackle the complex problems and handle work with precision and productivity, there is a pressing need for expertise in the project management field.
My research into the master’s degree programs here in Nepal revealed that there are only a few organizations providing some basic levels of training in project management, such as the Nepal Administrative Staff College and IT Training Nepal, and the syllabus is outdated and doesn’t align with the current global landscape. I encountered frustration with the educational facilities, which primarily emphasize theoretical knowledge over practical skills. Additionally, I noticed a lack of internship opportunities and limited career prospects in my home country. It made me contemplate the idea that spending some years abroad could significantly enhance my skills and capabilities.
As I embark on my post-graduate studies this winter, I am confident in my ability to rise to the challenges and expectations of the program. I believe that my solid foundation in these subjects, coupled with my passion for learning and determination to excel, will serve me well in my academic endeavors at Algoma University.
My singular goal is to enhance my knowledge and skills, whatever the cost. In my relentless pursuit of this objective, I took IELTS test on 7th Jan, 2023, yielding an overall score of 6.5 with not less than 6 on each band.
After an intensive web research, I delved deep into various facets of Canadian society, culture, and the warm atmosphere it extends to students. The more I immersed myself in this exploration, the more I marveled at what I found.
I discovered that Canadians have a well-deserved reputation for their extraordinary politeness and kindness, which extends to strangers. Heartwarming anecdotes from individuals who had ventured to Canada reinforced this perception. They assured me that not only would I be warmly embraced, but people would also respect and bolster my pursuit of independence. While there might be moments of solitude, there is a sense that I could discover a true sense of belonging in this inviting nation.
Canada’s status as one of the safest, most prosperous, and stable countries for living and studying was a profound revelation. Its consistent placement in the top ten countries on the UN Quality Index underlines the nation’s dedication to providing an exceptional quality of life. Furthermore, Canada’s impressive global ranking in education, reaching third position in 2022 according to the US News & World Report, and its continued presence among the top countries since 2016, held strong appeal for students and aspiring professionals like myself. This recognition has the potential
to enhance our global competitiveness, positioning Canada as an ideal destination for educational and career pursuits.
As for the college, I picked Algoma University. Also, Algoma University has offered me a tuition bursary of CAD 3,000 per year.
Upon the successful completion of my academic journey, I am eager to return to my homeland, Nepal. Equipped with the enhanced skills and knowledge gained from the program.
In the short term, my primary goal is to immediately apply the knowledge and skills I acquire during my academic program to gain practical experience in the field of project management and construction. I aim to secure a position as a Project Manager/Coordinator, Construction Manager, or Construction Coordinator within reputable construction companies in Nepal. This will allow me to transition from a student to a professional, applying the theoretical insights and practical expertise gained from my education to real-world projects. In this initial phase of my career, I aspire to contribute effectively to the successful execution of medium and large-scale construction projects, possibly within organizations like L&T Construction, Tata Projects Ltd, Hindustan Construction Co Ltd, or Gammon Nepal. By gaining valuable on-the-job experience, I will enhance my proficiency in project management, establish a strong foundation, and deepen my understanding of the Nepalese construction industry.
Looking further ahead, my long-term vision is to establish my own organization specializing in project and construction management. I aspire to become an entrepreneur in the construction sector, leveraging my experience and expertise to lead and manage projects independently. This venture will not only contribute to the development of my local community and the broader
Nepalese construction industry but also create job opportunities for other aspiring professionals. By building a successful construction enterprise, I envision contributing to the growth and development of my country. Additionally, I intend to explore opportunities for sustainable and eco- friendly construction practices, aligning my business with the evolving global trends in construction and environmental responsibility. My long-term goal is to make a lasting impact on the construction sector in Nepal and become a recognized leader in the industry.
Armed with an internationally recognized qualification and practical experience acquired in Canada, my ultimate objective is to build a thriving career in project management and, over the long term, play a role in advancing and developing my beloved homeland. My aspirations are firmly rooted in contributing to transformative projects that have a central role in shaping the current and future landscape of businesses and organizations in Nepal. I aspire to be an integral part of the significant development initiatives that lie ahead.
My decision to embark on this academic journey has been made in collaboration with my parents, who also serve as my financial sponsors. I come from a financially stable family with substantial assets, including properties valued at CAD 343,373. Furthermore, when considering the collective annual income of my family, which includes my father (Mr. Harish Chandra Nayak) and mother (Mrs. Gita Devi Nayak), it amounts to CAD 45,196. Also, an educational loan from Nabil Bank has been issued of CAD 49,009 for the purpose of my study.
My deep-rooted connection to Nepal has consistently guided my decisions regarding education, career, and long-term objectives, and it remains an integral part of my identity. My Family holds a central place in my life, providing unwavering support, love, and guidance throughout my formative years. I am committed to returning to Nepal to offer emotional and, when necessary, financial assistance to those who depend on me. Coming back home will enable me to make a substantial contribution to the local community and economy.
Moreover, I am set to inherit substantial assets worth CAD 343,373 from my family, which necessitates my return to Nepal to manage and expand these resources through proper legal procedures. While I recognize the potential for financial benefits and prestige in my home country, I do not have any plans to stay in Canada upon finishing my degree.
My primary objective for studying in Canada is to enhance my education and personal growth, with a steadfast dedication to returning to Nepal and actively participating in its advancement. Finally, I assure that I will forever be abided by all the law of the Canadian government.
I hope you will consider me as a genuine applicant for the course I have chosen and grant me the opportunity to pursue my ambitions.
With Regards
